Slang-Teach me
Can someone explain to me what "farming" means and give me a list or find a list for what all those slangs mean? (For example "tanking" or "support unit") And what does "build" mean?

"Tanking" basically just means to build your character in such a way so as to withstand large amounts of damage for extended periods of time. A "Support" person is a character that enhances other teammates at the expense of, or in addition to, their own personal character's effectiveness. Basically, this means increasing the damage teammates deal, allowing them to withstand more damage, or otherwise weakening the enemies so yoru team is more effective. If you type in 'guild wars wiki' into an internet search, you'll find resources to help further define the various in-game terms... |

Also pressing f10 in game will bring up the anet wiki. You can also do something like /help **search term goes here**.

A "build" is the overall set of skills, and/or runes and insignias (and weapons) that make up a particular character. Or "build" can refer to the overall make-up of a group. A build can be anything, but, a character who is just made up from an assortment of skills and attributes, without a specific purpose, is not usually refered to as a "build" For example, there are certain skills and attributes that make a Necromancer good at making and sustaining "minions" - this would be known as a "Minion Master" build, or "MM" for short. A "tank" is a character who's "build" is designed to be able to survive as much damage as possible. "Tanking" is when a "tank" gathers as many of the enemy around him as possible and takes the enemy damage while others in the party do damage to the enemy. In that case, the team "build" could consist of a tank (or tanks), a few casters (Eles, necros, mesmers, rits) to do the damage and a healing monk and "bonding" monk (and/or Rit) as "support units".
